Real-time Transaction Authentication for Verified by Visa

Arcot TransFort for Merchants is a fully compliant 3-D Secure solution for the Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode Programs. Arcot TransFort is designed to substantially reduce unauthorized online payments and provide unprecedented protection to merchants from costly fraud and transaction disputes. A cardholder's identity is confirmed using one of a variety of authentication methods, and merchants are provided with instant authentication results thereby greatly reducing the risk of unauthorized use.

How does it work?

• Cardholders register with their card issuer and choose a password to associate with their card.
• When a registered cardholder proceeds to checkout and clicks the final "buy" button, at a VbV/SecureCode enabled merchant, a "pop-up" window on their browser is automatically invoked asking for their password or PIN.
• Upon Password/PIN entry, the bank that issued the card authenticates the identity of the cardholder, and the order is completed as usual. The result is a substantial improvement in online payment protection with little impact on the customers' checkout process.

Arcot TransFort for Merchants requires no new programming and can be installed quickly with only minimal configuration and HTML updates to existing pages on the commerce server. The solution has been designed so merchants can focus on their business. Once the system is installed, they can literally forget about it while resting assured that their exposure to the cost of fraud and disputes has been dramatically reduced.
