Chase Paymentech has partnered with VeriFone® to deliver a new solution for electronic cash registers (ECRs) that facilitates quick and cost-effective PCI compliance. The Electronic Cash Register interface (ECRi) assists both software vendors and merchants in meeting PCI compliance guidelines.
With the ECRi application, merchants can leverage their existing point-of-sale solutions. And with minimal work and time requirements, software vendors can offer payment solutions with the latest compliant technology for a fraction of the cost that would be required to certify a magnetic-stripe payment application.
The ECRi provides the capability for the cash register to communicate directly with a stand-alone point-of-sale terminal. Chase Paymentech certifies and maintains the compliance of the payment application loaded on the terminal, so no additional certification is required from partners or merchants to ensure that their payment equipment is PCI compliant.

ECRi is now available with the VeriFone Vx 570 and
Vx 510 dual communication terminals.
